Yahoo! Buzz brings together the web's most remarkable stories, determined by people like you. You do not need to be signed-in to the Yahoo! network to access this service, however you must be signed in to the Yahoo! Network in order to vote on content, comment on content, send content to others, or submit new content to Buzz.
Information Collection and Use Practices
- You can send Yahoo! Buzz content to others using the ‘send’ feature.
- You will need to provide certain contact information about yourself and the intended recipient(s).
- Information collected in this context is used to send the email on your behalf. It is not collected for marketing purposes.

Information Sharing and Disclosure
- Buzz Activity page
- A Buzz Activity page will be created for you. In addition to articles you buzz and comments you make, it includes your profile card.
- By default, your Buzz Activity page is public. Uncheck the box labeled “My Buzz activity is public on Buzz” if you wish for it to not be public.
- By default, your display name and profile photo will appear next to articles you are the first to buzz an article.
- If you uncheck the box labeled “My Buzz activity is public on Buzz,” your display name will appear as “Anonymous” and your photo will not appear.
- If you have not created a profile, your Yahoo! ID will be displayed instead.
- When you email Yahoo! Buzz content using the ‘send’ feature, your name and email address will be visible to the recipient(s).
- The feedback that you provide using the ‘feedback’ links will not be displayed publicly.
- When you comment, your profile is linked and your display name and profile photo are visible to other users.
- Comments are public. If you provide personally identifiable information in a comment, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
- Updates
- When you buzz or comment on an article, those actions are shared as updates that your connections and others can see, depending on your Updates settings. Manage your Updates settings.
Your Ability to Update or Delete Information
- Uncheck the box labeled “My Buzz activity is public on Buzz” if you wish for your Buzz Activity page to not be public.
- Edit your profile if you wish to change your display name, profile photo or other profile card information. to edit your display name, please visit My Buzz Activity and select the appropriate option.
- Manage your Updates settings to choose whether actions you take on Buzz are shared with your connections or others.
