Yahoo! Go for TV is part of the Yahoo! Go suite of products. With Yahoo! Go for TV you can take Yahoo! off your computer and put it in your living room for everyone to see. View photos, search for video clips and watch movie trailers on your TV. Plus, your own digital video recorder (DVR) lets you record and watch your favorite shows anytime for free. You do not need to be a registered Yahoo! user to use Yahoo! Go for TV although certain features are available only to registered users.
Information Collection and Use Practices
- Personalization Wizard:
- After installing the Yahoo! Go for TV software you may use the Personalization Wizard to customize the software prior to first use.
- When you enter your Yahoo! ID and password in the Personalization Wizard, Yahoo! Go for TV will remember you by linking your Yahoo! ID within Yahoo! Go for TV. This enables automatic log-in when you use the software. Anyone who has access to the computer where Yahoo! Go for TV is enabled will have access to personalized Yahoo! content associated with that Yahoo! ID.
- You have the option of selecting custom file locations, your TV tuner card and identifying your TV provider and choosing your TV listings.
- You can link one or more Yahoo! IDs with Yahoo! Go for TV from the User Settings menu tab.
- When you add a user you have the option of remembering these Yahoo! IDs on Yahoo! Go for TV. If you elect to be remembered Yahoo! Go for TV will automatically log you into the service for your next visit. Anyone who has access to the computer where Yahoo! Go for TV is enabled will have access to personalized Yahoo! content associated with that Yahoo! ID or any other Yahoo! IDs stored in the software.
- When you access Web-based features or your personalized content stored on Yahoo! via Yahoo! Go for TV, such as Yahoo! Photos, Music, TV, Flickr, Video and Search, your visits to these areas will be logged on our Web server logs. If you are logged in, your use of these services will be associated with your Yahoo! ID.
- When you access content stored on your computer's hard drive or on your DVR using Yahoo! Go for TV, Yahoo! does not receive information about the content you've accessed. Yahoo! only notes that such software features have been used within Yahoo! Go for TV.
Information Sharing and Disclosure Practices
- Yahoo! may share aggregated and anonymous usage data with affiliates, partners, prospective partners, and advertisers.
Practices Regarding Your Ability to Update or Delete Information
- When you log in to Yahoo! Go for TV you can elect to be remembered from session to session or log in for the duration of that session only.
- You can add or remove users from within the User Settings
- You can remove Yahoo! Go for TV using the Add/Remove Programs functionality in your computer's Control Panel. You have the option to remove all personalized content when you remove the software.
