Yahoo! Health offers many health-related resources together on one site. You do not need to be a logged-in Yahoo! user to experience most of what Yahoo! Health has to offer, however, certain areas require you to be logged-in.
Information Collection and Use Practices
- In order to post a comment or rate an article on Yahoo! Health you must be a logged-in Yahoo! user.
- Comments that you post on Yahoo! Health will be publicly displayed along with your chosen display image and name.
- In order to use the ‘email a friend’ feature you must be a logged-in Yahoo! user and provide the email address of the intended recipient.
- You have the option of entering a personal message that may or may not include personally identifiable information.
- Yahoo! does not use the information collected for this service for marketing purposes.
LeDiet Diet Evaluation
- Yahoo! Health hosts the diet assessment and collects the information that you provide prior to generating your evaluation.
- Information you provide during the diet assessment is subject to the Yahoo! Privacy Policy.
- Upon completion of the diet assessment, you will be given the option to generate a free evaluation of your diet.
- If you choose to receive this evaluation, the information that you provided to Yahoo! during the assessment will be provided to LeDiet for the sole purpose of generating your evaluation. (Please see the ‘Information Sharing and Disclosure Practices’ section below for more information)
- Yahoo! does not administer or manage the LeDiet site, which you will be directed to should you decide to save your free evaluation or enroll in the LeDiet service.
Information Sharing and Disclosure Practices
- If you use the ‘email-a-friend’ feature, your email address will be visible to the recipient in the email that they receive.
- If you choose to receive the free evaluation from LeDiet upon completion of your diet assessment, the information that you provided to Yahoo! during the assessment will be provided to LeDiet for the sole purpose of generating your evaluation.
- This information is anonymous and aggregate – no personally identifiable information will be shared with LeDiet.
- Information you provide while on the LeDiet site is subject to the LeDiet Privacy Policy.
Practices Regarding Your Ability to Update or Delete Information
- Comments that you post on Yahoo! Health may not be edited or deleted.
