    During a transition period, the HotJobs site will continue to be run by Yahoo and your HotJobs account information will be subject to Yahoo’s privacy policy. You will have the opportunity to transfer your account information to Monster during this transition period, and if you agree to the transfer, your account information will, once transferred, be subject to Monster’s privacy policy.

    Yahoo HotJobs is a comprehensive career management resource on the Web with job listings, a resume builder, and content to assist job seekers or people looking to improve their current job. You do not need to be a registered Yahoo user nor do you need to be logged in to use Yahoo HotJobs. However, there are some features that are only accessible if you're registered and logged in.

    Information Collection and Use Practices

    • If you choose to post your resume on Yahoo HotJobs, we will collect personally identifiable information from you. Depending on your settings, your resume may be made searchable to employers and staffing firms.
    • In order to send your cover letter and resume, we ask for the recipient's email address and your email address. The recipient's email address will be used to send the cover letter and resume and will not be used for separate marketing purposes.
    • Monster uses cookies and related technologies (such as web beacons) on the HotJobs site to determine and track direct and indirect candidate application traffic through Monster’s Career Ad Network (CAN). The information collected through these technologies are used to display relevant job ads to you on Monster and other web sites.     • We also offer a feedback form that allows you to send us comments and suggestions regarding Yahoo HotJobs.       • By using Yahoo HotJobs and its various tools, you may choose to make some of your personally identifiable information public or you may choose to share some of your personal identifiable information with others.
      • If you post personally identifiable information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
    • Resumes
      • HotJobs provides member employers and staffing firms with the ability to search our resume database and distribute your resume to their own hiring systems via e-mail. This includes those who pay for access and prospective employers and staffing firms who may be receiving a product demonstration.
      • While it is Yahoo HotJobs' intention that only customers or prospective customers will have access to the resume database, Yahoo HotJobs cannot guarantee that other parties will not, without Yahoo HotJobs' consent, gain access to resume data.
      • Yahoo HotJobs is not responsible for the privacy and data usage policies of employers, staffing firms and others who may access resumes on our service.
      • We give you the opportunity to restrict access to your resume for some or all employers and staffing firms. You have three choices:
        • You can store your resume in our database and allow it to be searchable by all employers and staffing firms.
        • You can store your resume in our database but change your HotBlock settings to restrict specific employers or staffing firms from seeing your resume when they perform searches of our resume database. Please note that HotBlock only restricts employers or staffing firms who are members of our site at the time you last modified your HotBlock list. This will not block an employer or staffing firm if they sign up for our services after you have modified your HotBlock list.
        • You can store your resume in our database but not allow it to be searchable by any employers or staffing firms. With this option, you can use your stored resume to apply for a job online, but it will not be searchable through our resume database.

    Practices Regarding Your Ability to Update or Delete Information

    • You may update or remove your resume at any time; however, employers and staffing firms with access to your resume, based on your privacy settings, may have retained a copy in their own files or databases.
