Yahoo! Live is a tool which lets you broadcast yourself from your webcam to the web, on our site or embedded on the web wherever you'd like.
You do not need to be signed into the Yahoo! Network to view streams or to chat, however, in order to stream content on Yahoo! Live, you must be signed into the Yahoo! Network.
Information Collection and Use
- You must create a Yahoo! Live channel URL (e.g., Channel Name) in order to stream content on Yahoo! Live.
- This is the URL at which your Yahoo! Live streaming video will appear.
- Once created, you may not change your Yahoo! Live channel URL.
- You can provide additional information in your Yahoo! Live public profile including a description of your channel, name of your channel, profile photo and status information.
- Conversations in Yahoo! Live will be logged and stored on Yahoo! servers.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
- By default, your Yahoo! Live channel is publicly viewable at your Yahoo! Live channel URL.
- If you choose to publicize your Yahoo! Live channel, it will be searchable and may be featured elsewhere on Yahoo! Live (e.g. the Yahoo! Live homepage).
- If you choose not to publicize your Yahoo! Live channel, others will still be able to view your channel if they have your Yahoo! Live channel URL, however, your channel will not be searchable or featured elsewhere on Yahoo! Live.
- To learn how to modify the privacy settings of your Yahoo! Live channel or how to block a user from viewing your Yahoo! Live channel, please refer to the “Your Ability to Update or Delete Information” section below.
- Your Yahoo! Live content may be featured elsewhere the Yahoo! Network and off of the Yahoo! Network using the "Embed Video" feature.
- Your Yahoo! Live Channel Name will be displayed publicly with in association with your Yahoo! Live channel and any content or information you provide on Yahoo! Live while signed into the Yahoo! Network.
Your Ability to Update or Delete Information
- To update the privacy setting of your Yahoo! Live channel, please visit ‘Privacy and Settings’.
- To block a user from viewing your Yahoo! Live channel, please right-click on the user in the ‘Who’s Here’ module or click on their video frame and choose “Kick.”
- To update the information on your Yahoo! Live public profile, please visit ‘My Profile’.
- Once created, you may not change your Yahoo! Live channel URL.
