Yahoo! Merchant Solutions (formerly Yahoo! Store) is a web hosting service offering web site design, Yahoo! Mail Business Edition, a customized domain and reporting tools for online merchants. In order to create a Yahoo! Merchant Solutions online store, you must be a registered Yahoo! user and have a Yahoo! Wallet.
Information Collection and Use Practices
- Merchants
- After your free demo ends you can discontinue using your Merchant Solutions store or you can sign up for our monthly payment plan.
- When you sign up for Yahoo! Merchant Solutions you must first be a registered Yahoo! user. In addition, we ask for your contact name and address, billing name and address, and credit card information. You can choose whether or not you wish to receive newsletters or announcements of new features relating to Yahoo! Merchant Solutions.
- If you contact Yahoo! with questions or comments about Yahoo! Merchant Solutions we ask for your account name, contact name, email address and information about your question or comment. This information is used to reply to your question or comment and not for any marketing purposes.
- Visitors
- Yahoo! automatically collects order information from customers of Yahoo! Merchant Solutions for the purposes of processing that information on behalf of the merchant. Yahoo! will only use this information in the aggregate.
- Yahoo! Merchant Solutions uses IP address information automatically received from visitors to allow Yahoo! Merchant Solutions merchants to better understand traffic to their respective stores.

- Yahoo! may disclose information about Yahoo! Merchant Solutions merchants as described in the Yahoo! Merchant Solutions Service Agreement.
- All Yahoo! Merchant Solutions stores require a domain. The Yahoo! Merchant Solutions packages include a domain, but you can use one you already own. If you order a domain for your Yahoo! Merchant Solutions store, Yahoo! asks for personal information such as name, address, telephone number, and email address. We share your personal information with Internet Names Worldwide (a division of Melbourne IT Limited), or "INWW," in order to process your domain registration request and maintain your account. The personal information that you provide will be made publicly available by INWW as required by the Internet's governing organization, ICANN. If you would like to change the contact information for your domain name, please contact Customer Care.
- *Note: If you registered a domain with Yahoo! Store before March 21, 2001, your domain's registrar may be Network Solutions, Inc.
