Yahoo! Homes
Yahoo! Homes is a comprehensive resource for all of your real estate needs, whether buying, selling, renting, or improving a home. You do not need to be a Yahoo! registered user, nor do you need to be logged in to use Yahoo! Real Estate. However, there are some features that are only accessible if you're registered and logged in.
Information Collection and Use Practices
- Yahoo! Homes allows users to access tools like "Rent vs. Own," "Amortization" calculators, and "Find Home Values" among other. Information collected via these tools is used to provide the user with useful information and is not stored or associated with any personal information.
- Comments
- When signed into the Yahoo! Network you may comment on and share links to content posted on Yahoo! Homes. When you comment on content, your profile is linked to that content and your display name and profile photo are visible to other users.
- You must be a logged-in, registered Yahoo! user to post a comment.
- Comments you post will be displayed publicly along with your Yahoo! ID or chosen nickname and profile picture or avatar.
- You may also delete a comment you have posted by selecting the ‘delete’ option next to the comment you wish to remove.
- Your comments are visible on the “My Comments” tab next to the commenting streams.
- Vantage Media
- Yahoo! Homes provides you the opportunity to request more information through Vantage Media.
- Vantage Media collects information through information request forms. Please visit their privacy policy, and the policies of their partners, to learn how they collect and use information.
- Email
- You must be a logged-in, registered Yahoo! user to use the Email option.
- You must enter your friends email address(es).
- You have the option of entering a personal message that may include personally identifiable information.
- Your email address will be visible to the recipient.
- Yahoo! does not use the names or email addresses from this service for any marketing purposes.
Your Friend's Activity
- Yahoo! Activity allows you and your friends to automatically share activity on Yahoo!, including games you play, videos you watch, articles you read, and more.
- When you opt-in to Yahoo! Activity, you will see your friends’ shared activity on Yahoo! Homes and other Yahoo! sites.
- When you opt-in to Yahoo! Activity and turn Social “On”, Yahoo! will automatically share links to your Yahoo! activity to your friends on Facebook and to your Facebook friends on Yahoo!.
- You can turn off automatic sharing by clicking on the “Social” drop-down menu on Yahoo! activity pages. You can also remove individual articles you’ve shared by clicking on the “Your Activity” drop-down menu from the pages where you see the Activity ‘bar’.

Information Sharing and Disclosure Practices
- If you request that more information be sent to you through Vantage Media, Vantage Media may share your information with the company offering that service. Your information will be subject to Vantage Media’s and that company's privacy policy once the information has been sent.
- Yahoo! works with third parties to bring you certain content and services that are part of the "Improving," "Buying," and "Selling" categories of Yahoo! Real Estate. "Find a Contractor," "Find a Designer or Architect," and "Find an Agent" are among the services that are brought to you in conjunction with a third party.
list]- We partner with Zillow.com for the “Find Homes” feature. You will be asked to provide personal information in order to contact a realtor.
All of these services require that you register with our service partner. Registration requires certain personal information including your name, email address, telephone number, and zip code be shared with them, as well as details about your property profile or specific projects you are planning.
In some instances, your personal information is collect by both Yahoo! and the third party service provider in which case this is disclosed to you on the web site.
